I know everybody is talkin about the new Z400, but I would like to know if I could hop-up my little bro's 1989 LT250S Quadsport with a cam, carburater, and other stuff like that. And will nerf bars from the LT230 work or mount right up and does anybody make aftermarket bumpers for the 250? I would also like ta know how did the 250 Quadsport compared to the 250X/300EX and the Blaster?

the Q-sport wasn't much of an improvement over the 230. As far as bolt ons, they may be slim to find these days. In comparison to the Honda's you mentioned, both Honda's outperformed the Q-250. They handled better, were faster, and the ergonomics were better and were more reliable. Not that the Zuki was a bad machine. It's just that Honda is a tough one to beat when it comes to overall quality. Good to see that the other manufacturers are getting on the ball and providing us some competitive machines.

There are still plenty of parts available for the Quadsport. Just look through a Rocky Mountain ATV catalog or get online. I pretty sure you won't be able to find plastic for the 250 Quadsport but chances are you can probably use the 230 style since the frames are the same. Check Web cam for a cam or maybe Powroll. The stuff is out there but a lot of it will be for the 230. The 250 wasn't very popular compared to teh 230 but they are the same except for plastic and the bigger bore. The 250 may have been a little wider and longer but I'm not sure. I know it was heavier.
