Last I heard, CT Racing tried a cdi box from a drz and it did not run right. Hearing about this tps may have been the reason. I'm waiting for the Yosh box, but it is not ready yet.

If you guys are planning on going with a new CDI box and the carb, I would say to wait for the Yosh kit, there cdi box for the DRZ adds 500 rpm to the limiter and put the bikes rev limiter at 10,500 I believe, maybe they will get the LTZ to rev alot further too. If I remember everthing correctly, the stock DRZ rev limiter is between 9500 and 10000 rpm.

One more thing, I am jelous, you guys only have to buy one FCR and I would have to get 2, I think the cheapest I could find a set for my raptor so far was over 700 bucks, I wish it only had one big carb I really would like to get the FCRs though..

RaptorRider660R - have you checked into any of the 2 into 1 manifolds? Edelbrock makes one for their carb (not sure if it's available individually though) - I've also seen another somewhere on the net, but it was for the MZ bike that shares the engine with the Raptor.

Personally I don't see much sense in the two carb setup on the Raptor.

1986atc250r, yes I have heard a little about them, but am trying to stay away from that. From what I have learned so far, I would gain bottom end with one big carb but loose top end, which makes sense because wide open, the 2 will flow alot more air then one carb. It has plenty of bottom and I like the top end too, but the FCRs would let it rev out alot faster and add power to most of the powerband and not lose any on top at all. I would guess they used 2 carbs for that reason, top end, The motor was in a street bike right? if so top end is needed. well thanks for the advice though, I think I will look deeper into it, it maybe possible, who knows???

RaptorRidr660R,

I don't want to be the one to bring you bad news, if you are looking for the 35mm FCR's real soon, they are on back order. Oh yea, the price has also gone up, making them even more overly priced. I hear they are now selling in the $850-$1000 range, OUCH! Not to rub it in, but I am sure glad I ordered mine when I did.

You suzuki guys will probably see the same thing, in regards to availabilty and price hiking, if these carbs start to show a big promise in performance. Be prepared!

My 39 fcr should be in and running by the end of the week. Stroker motors is right down the street from me and I loaned him my quad to try out the FCR. He should have a kit for it very soon. I will be talking to him in a day or two to see how the progress is going. I will let you know.

Barely legal,

I just put a call into Stroker. I am waiting to here back from them. It should be within the hour. When I called they were working on my bike and playing with the carb. I heard it in the background, rather exciting, it may be done sooner than I expected. Anyways, I will get the info. from him and pass it on asap. Until then his number is 760 948-2871 You can talk to either Dave or Larry. Dave is usually easier to get a hold of.

I will let you know what he says in a little bit.
