Has anybody done this swap? I am trying to gather information for this project. Seems like the way to go to out power 250R's.

No counter balancer on the RM's... massive vibrations in a quad frame.

How is the vibration handled in the bike frame?

As once said before... the front forks absorb it.

a stock 88lt250r will out power a stock trx250r, so what are you worried about? if you really want more power and want to go the newer 250 bike motor route then if you have a ton of money you could actually have a counter-balancer designed and machined for you. you would also have to have a new crank case, side covers, and crank machined for you also. by the time you did this then you would be able to but a new z400. if you really want to do it though it can be done. i'm surprised kawisaki didn't go this route when they made there kxf250 racer.

just modify the stock motor... or you could get the cylinder off the RM mounted to the LT's motor... Nawww, just modify your stocker. Trinity should hook you up with something sweet... Stage IV...
