I set out for a ride this morning an got no further than 1/4 mile away, and noticed that my right rear tire was flat.

I nursed it home, and found that the outer sidewall had a 2 inch cut in it.

Being new to quads (rode 2 wheels since i was 3 ), I was wondering if this happens alot????

I didn't notice hitting anything in the 50 ft of trail I was on b4 jumping on a dirt road to the trail??

Well anyway, Are the Dunlops on this bike good tires for a mix of sand dunes, and trails?? Or should I replace both of them w/ something else??

ALSO, any chance that this would be covered under warranty ??

Thanx,
LOBE

No warranty on the tire, but they are a good set-up for dirt and sand. Normally you can find an aftermarket set of tires cheaper than o.e., but your tires are new and you only need 1.

Thanx WP!!

I figured a warranty was out of the ? on a tire

So I guess I will ask the dealer for a price on a new tire??
Or who else is a good source to buy tires from??

Thanx,
LOBE

Lobex, I too had one of the stock Dunlops get cut on my Z. I ride mostly woods and trails with motocross thrown in for some variety. I cut mine with about 8 hours on the machine and I was not pleased. I ordered a set of ITP XCR 20x11x9 6ply tires. I was planning on upgrading to a tougher tire by the fall anyway. The riding that I had done with the Dunlops,I liked the handling characteristics but I needed something that would hopefully give me a little extra safety zone. I know that there are no garauntees with any tire but, a 6ply is better than 2 anyday. I here that the Maxxis Razor's are a good tire too.

Cool Thanx

Are the ITP and Maxxis good tires for our type of riding (trails, moto-x, and sand pits) ?????

What did you pay for the ITP's???

Also, where is a good place to get tires from???

Thanx,
LOBE

Not sure on the the price. I imagine for the pair $75 would work.

Razors are a great trail tire. They also work well in packed sand.

I am guessing that you are hopin to get something right away? You might look into a patch to tide you over until you can replace it.
