%^&$%^ shift out of neutral!!
#1
(I did a search and didn't find anything, so pardon if this is a repeat)
Has anyone had a problem with their Z400 not shifting into first from neutral when it is warmed up? My buddy and I both have Z400's (mine is a few weeks older in use) and we both get stuck in neutral. It feels like the shift lever isn't catching-on/moving anything.
What's the dealio?

Every manual transmision made can do this under the right circumstances. Put light pressure on the shifter at an "idle" and slightly let out on the clutch, presto, your in gear! Same with reverse.
Almost every vehicle I have owned has been with a manual trans, they all have their own slight differances, you just have to adjust to their likeing.
Good luck,

Corpsie its nothing to worry about everyone of my bikes/quads have done this. I don't really know why they do this but if you let the clutch out and a little bit and tap the shifter it should go right in just don't let it out to far or you'll grind the gears. Rocking the quad back and forth works as well. Don't worry your Z doesn't have a problem.
