No, It requires special mounts to put the 500 motor in. The bottom motor mount in the frame also must be changed. Also you have to have a spacer plate made for the rear sprocket to keep the sprockets in line. There are a couple of places that make pipes for that modification. Their not cheap. Average about 4-500 dollars. I did this upgrade for 2 friends of mine. If your building a racer and dont mind the exta maintenance its worth doing. If you dont like maintenance i wouldnt recommend it. It puts alot of abuse on the 250 frame since it wasnt designed to handle that much power and torque. If you want somthing unique to stomp all your buddies 250's go for it. If you just want somthing faster then them just buy a 500 and save your money for mods to the 500.
