me, being a retarded new driver, can lug my Z down to a near stall and always pull out.

I think something is amiss with your Z.

yeah the low end isnt that great but since i put the hmf pipe and filter kit on it rocks. i can pull about every hill in the dunes in 3rd gear or 4th ( used to have to downshift to 2nd on most big ones). you might not be jetted right. i put in a 152.5 and im still lean although not by too much i think. dynojet also has a kit out since the needle is not adjustable. they should of used a differnt carb on it, like the one on the EX. its also easier if you ride kinda like a 2 stroke, keep it reved up. also i think its geared a tad low, but the pipe and filter on now it doesnt seem that way.

The TEC for the yoshi killed about 40% of the noise and that is using the medium insert, it also comes with a small insert. The dyno shows it loses almost no horsepower. Yoshi says the medium insert is about 96db.

I think the 25 pilot helped a little with the low end power, I also put a 155 main in it, I did have a 152.5. The combination of the two made a noticable difference.

I just saw the Sept Dirtwheels shootout article (Z vs Raptor), and to some extent they agreed with me about the low end on the Z!! I knew this wasn't something I imagined.

coolhuh, Where is the pilot jet. When I changed the main jet I noticed another jet next to it. Mine was a 60. Could that be the pilot or is it something else?

There is an air jet that looks like a main jet by the main jet, the pilot is also right by the main but it is inside of a round inset that is molded into the carb. The head of it has a straight slot for a straight slot screwdriver, it is smaller round but longer and when you take it out it should have 22.5 on it. I hope I described it where you could understand.
