z400 jumping and wheelies
#2
Rubiconman,
Well they say that it is better at everything than the 400EX so I can tell you that if that is indeed true you will be very impressed. Have you driven many other High Performance quads besides your Sport?
I owned a Sport so I know about them. Let's just say that my Banshee is a drastic improvement over the Sport (obviously), and the 400ex is so much better than the Banshee (suspension wise of course).
The first jump I hit I braced for impact and I landed and hardly felt it...I could not believe it.
You'll like the Z400 for sure if it's what everyone says it is.

Look at my pics and you will see some wheelies and jumping. Click on the link in my sig and then click on Z400 -July 21st 2002. Jumping is fun and its easy to control in the air. Wheelies are very easy to do, I can do them in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I never tried 5th yet. It can do it in 4th on loose gravel, so I think on pavement or a harder surface it should be even easier. The balance point feels pretty steep and looks even steeper. Its a blast.

Well I have found the balance point but its hard to keep it there without some practice. I really haven't tried practicing the balance point to much. It will tip over onto its grab bar if your not carefull. I did this once on the grass luckily. Nothing broke or bent. You can do really good fast wheelies on pavement but its dangerous until your good at it.
If you want to come play drive to Gillam, Manitoba. Its only 10 hours north of Winnipeg, Manitoba and probably about 40 hours or so from you. But if you make the trip I'll show you around. The place where I ride is a glacial sand deposit, its alot of fun with the dirt bikes and the very few other sport quads around here.

This bike is one of the sweetest I have ever ridden. When you hit a jump just burp the throttle and it makes you level in the air. Then if you are going to overshoot the landing you just push the back end down or you can push the front end down to downslope a jump. All of this is done effortless. It is also very easy to adjust side to side for off-cambers or bad take-offs. As for wheelies they are easy to do and with a pipe they are even easier. You can balance real well and shift through the gears, even do stand-ups with ease. If you have a street bike it is almost the same thing.
