Trinity has to have my motor done next week so I will know what gas to use and the performance gains. Harry mentioned 12:? ratio but I can't remeber what it was.

Don't know but if you go 13.1 you might have to change the rod. My plan is to go with the Thumper Racing 470 kit and 12.1 compression with the DRZ400 kick exhaust cam with a high performace intake cam maybe a hot cam witht he Edelbrock carb and Yoshi pipe. That is the plan anyway. I had the Edelbrock carb on my modded 416 and loved it i never had any problems and it was easy to tune and made great power gains. I'll use the Yoshi pipe because i want to run there sticker kit. LOLOLOLOL i know thats stupid but that sticker kit is awsome baby with a capital A! and the 470 i realy don't care about drag race power i want tractor power and from reading the DRZ forum thats what it makes. I emailed Thumper Racing and they said that they just did a test with Dirt Wheels on the 436 kit so that will make for some good reading next month. I hope to do mine at the end of riding season but i gues i should just worry about breaking it in( only 30 min on so far) lololol have a great day.

Thumper Racing already has a 436 kit out? What in the hell is Harry's problem? Any word on how it did and what they changed?

I beleive it will be the same kit they offer for the DRZ dirt bike. I would think that the performace shops that do the dirt bike would be ahead of the other shops that just do quads on the new Z since the motor is almost the same as the DRZ. I bet it will be easy to get 50hp out of this motor. You figure the stock DRZ400 kick puts out 40- 42 hp so if we just used it's cams, carb and a good pipe we could get that. So i'm thinking up the bore and use a better intake cam and carb and pipe. Don't you all think mid 40 hp or higher? Heck on the DRZ forum there are osme guys with the 470 kit on all stock 400s motors and they said they got 8 hp just from that. go to thumperracing.com and check out the DRZ kits and mail them with any questions you have they seem to be very nice people.
