Yes, they are interchangeable. Add a carb and you will see noticeable power gains.

The motors are the same as far as these parts go so you can order DRZ parts and expect to acquire the same performance gains.

Many places have cams and Trinity is going to have Web make a special grind for the quads. Alcohol burns cooler and makes more power, but it burns more than twice as fast as gas. Unless you are building a drag motor I wouldn't bother.

The 400z motor is the same as the DRZ400s but you can use the DRZ400 kick and DRZ400e parts (cams, carb) if you want to get the compression up on the 400z to the DRZ400 spec ( Z 11.1 DRZ 12.1) change the base gasket to the DRZ400 kick gasket. Here is a sight with alot of good info it is a DRZ forum so search for what you want to find out. Http://www.people.ucsc.edu/~mnelson/drz/DRZ400s.htm also check out Thumberracing.com and look at the 470 kit for the 400s that would be great on the 400z.

will we be able to run pump gas if you change the gasket? 12:1 is kinda high for 91 octane.

The Z400, as it is, is supposed to run on 87. When you up the compression to 12.1:1 you're supposed to be able to run on 92 octane.

I'm wondering if this turns our low end to crap.

92? haven't seen that here in california in years. we have 91 here anyway, as for the low end, wouldn't you think it would improve it?
