About every aftermarket oil filter company will have them.

The Suzuki OEM Part number is .......16510-34E00

It is the same filter that fits the old LTF500, as well as every current made Suzuki street bike. [except the Kawasaki versions ofcourse... ]

Does the same filter fit the 400 Eiger by any chance?

You can use a Fram PH 6018. That's what I used to replace the OEM filter and it has worked fine for 300 miles. No leaks. Cost was $5.99. Anything for a Suzuki translates to $$$$. A little advice on replacement. With an OEM filter, it says to tighten it 2 full turns after you make contact with the base. There is no way you will get 2 full turns with a Fram. I tightened mine just about 1 turn and have not had any problems. If you really try cranking the filter down super tight, you could end up stripping the threads on the shaft.

You might be able to cross-ref the 6018 with some other brands.

Happy scootin'!!

ZRIDER, although it's obvious the prarie is going to be faster than the vinson, I would appreciate it if you could tell me how they compare, like in power, handling and ride comfort.

papajim:

The Vinson's power is deceiving. It doesn't come out of the gate as hard as the P650, but once it's rolling, it pulls damm good. The wife and I have done some roll on's from 20 mph and the Vinson was not embarrassed. I was surprised how close it stayed to the 650. Less than a couple of lengths up to 50 mph. The Vinson's seat is more comfortable than the 650. As for handling, there is not a whole lot of difference. I can flick the Vinson around just like the 650 and it sidehills just as well also. On fireroads or hardpack, you can't cross-up and slide the Vinson as easy as the P650. You touch the wick on the 650, the rears break loose and it's WAHOO! I just put some 26" Bear Claws on the 650 and have not had it out yet. Will see how it handles. The stock tires were junk.

All in all, I really enjoy riding the Vinson and so does the wife. It rides lighter than it is. So far, we're happy with both scooters.
