i just purchased a new chain for my zilla and i noticed the sprockets are kind of worn. what is the best srocket combo to have. my front is a 12 and the back is a 44. my manual showes for an 87 the back should be a 42 stock with 40,41,43 as opt for that year. we mostly trail ride and drag race. allso go to silver lake sand dunes .i gess a little of everything.not much done to the moter just a pip[e and silencer and airfilter. the moter will be sent out this winter for a rebuild.aney info on a good rebuild place will be great. thanks for the help.

I've played with several combinations, and highly recommend that you do same to see what works best for you, rider weight, riding conditions, etc.

Personally, I prefer a 13 and 40. It pulls the higher gearing great but I'm far from being stock in the HP dept.
I ride mostly sand.

If ya put a higher tooth on the back, it'll give you more bottom end (actually, it just feels that way), but you will lose off the top, but who goes almost 90mph down the trail, anyways?
