Anywhere from 62 mph to 97 mph (yeah someone actually wrote 97) I'm guessing, timing between telephone polls ~ not real accurate but anyhow, around 69/70 mph wide open I'm guessing. The answer just depends on who's typing.

Mine clocks in around 63 mph but I have geared down 1 tooth on the front.

65 mph on a straight stretch, it powers out. 68 mph down a slight hill, ran out of hill to really test it. GPS tested.

i have and it goes teventy five. i have an e-trex gps. on the tar road by my house there was a fairly stiff wind the other day. so i went with it on a down hill section the gps would say 75 then the rev limiter would hit and it would drop to 74 then it went back to 75 . it kept doing this for a while. my machine is totally stock and i weigh 174lbs the four wheeler had about twenty hours on it at the time. but since then i think it has lost the little edge of power it had it dont seem like it has as much any more. or maybee i am just used to it by now.

I have not seen one break 70 yet. My buddy rodsquad has one, it is a nice quad but i think 65mph max with stock gearing. I outrun his 400 in 4th with stock gearing. I have seen a lot of raptors barely get over 70.

You would earn a prize if you could find 3 out of 4 stock ones that run 65mph consistently........much less 70mph.

It's getting real deep in here.

According to this months DirtWheels mag, "on a lnger stretch of dirt road we masured top speed and got 71 mph for the Raptor versus 66 mph for the Z-400".

Anyone else read this article? Hands down the Z is the winner of their shoutout with the Raptor. "The Suzuki Z-400 Quadsport is the new measuring stick that other ATV manufactures will have to rise to" quote un-quote. No surprise here!!! 66 mph for the Z-400
