Hey guys, I just got a new Z400 yesterday for my birthday(17th),my question is what kinds of oils and lubes should i buy for it? ex.4 stroke oil,brake fluid, chain lube or wax? I have never had a 4 wheeler before so any suggestions would be great..Thanks Scott

 

When I had my stock air filter, I went with PJ1 cleaner and oil. For my chain, I use Silkolene Pro Chain oil, real nice and sticky, and for engine oil, I use Pro Honda GN4 10w-40 which is also real good stuff.

I am using mobil 10w-40 for oil, Bel Ray Clean Formula chain lube (that stuff is awesome) and Bel Ray filter oil.

Why do you run premium gas? I have just used 87 octaine and have had not knocking or pinging. Is premium recommended from the factory? My dealer did not mention it.

 

go with the chain wax suff does not stick to it. The chain wax seals the chain from dirt you do not what dirt ti stick to the chain. Just my info!

 

I use maxima chain wax but I stay away from Bel Ray foam oil I find it too thick and air restricting. I buy K&N spray oil on my UNI filter.

 

I highly reccomend the chain wax also, it really does help reduce the dirt build up.
