I own a Z, and with a pipe and jets, they'll hold with and pass the big bore raptors no problem. That, coupled with better handling, and being waaay cheaper = winner in my book. These things are so much fun to ride, and even stock, will keep with a "big bore" raptor through fourth and that is when the raptors start pulling away winning the drag by a whopping one to three bike lengths. My question, who needs a big bore? Not I, but of course, I ride more trails than dunes, so this bike is perfect for me. Ride someones sometime, you might just change your opinion on this machine. And make sure it's got more than twenty hours on it too cause that's when they start to open up.

With modern engines, displacement is pretty meaningless. Thinking in terms of displacement is just old tech. Suzuki did more with less (HEY, IT WEIGHS 100 LBS LESS THAN YOUR DS!!!). The hot bikes of the future are going to be high tech, light, and in the 450 class. THERE IS A REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!

YZGUY hit that one on the head. Take a look at the Cannondale 440 for a good look at the future. They will clean any of the new big bores plow with ease in stock trim. I look to see even Yamaha come out with a 450 performance quad. I would like to see them replace the warrior with the 450 or replace the Banshee eventually before the new regs on 2 strokes go into affect.

Don't forget about the quad coming from the Red Rider camp.

Just 10 more days.

It's a 400cc quad because Suzuki already had a killer proven engine to easily adapt to the Quad frame. Very smart use of their resources in my opinion.
Hey KNOWSALOT, you sure got the bees abuzzin' about the "new Honda" announcement! Keep 'em stirred up, it makes great reading!

I only hope it does not cost $6,499.( the new Honda ) 400EX = $5,699 MSRP( I think ) Quads are getting too expensive.( example Raptor, DS650, Cannondales ) I think once I get rid of my 2 quads I am going to get a used one and save a couple $$. I only ride once or twice a month and can't justify the price of a $4500 plus on a quad.

I don't even really like Honda (they are reliable but good gawd, lets release something that can keep up w/ one of my dads horses!) and if they did that, I would truely feel bad for the Honda guys. Do you know how many people are not buying anything just so they can see what Honda comes out with?!?!?!?!?! Is it being brand loyal or brainwashed?
