I kan't decide a manuel or Auto Eiger 400 4x4!!! The manuel is really maintenace free, has more power, more torque, and is also lighter! And the Auto tranny is belt driven so that means belt will slip is water and also belt wear!!! Im thinking about getting the 5 speed but not for sure yet does anyone have any thoughts to put in? I would appreciate it!!!!!!

Sounds like you've already made your choice. The 5 sp was for me but I already have an auto. The Eiger auto I rode was nice but seemed to have some auto lag when you pegged the gas. The 5 sp is fast and will outrun my Kodiak except maybe top end. I had to eat some crow on this board on that one. Although, I think the Eiger auto is an excellent value if your looking for an auto.

I am very pleased with my 5 speed Eiger. The engine is very strong down on the low end which means you don't end up shifting all that much when trail riding. Then when you need some serious pulling power low range will do the job. I think the 5 speed allows you to be a little sportier because the immediate power helps get the front end lighter for jumps and bumps. Yes, the Eiger jumps surprisingly well for big utility machine.

5-spd would be my choice, but I don't like autos so I'm kindof partial. Both are a decent bikes.

Going to buy an Eiger in the morning if all goes well. Can/would you guys advise how much you had to give for your out the door except for the sales tax. Yes, I know... some folks will say "out the door" means everthing but I will not be paying sales tax because I'll be buying "out of state".

Thanks, and anything else you can add will be appreciated such as any extras included with the price you had to give.

Thanks...
I have already been given a $4999.00 quote. Hope I can beat that or if not can get a set of ramps or such thrown in. Man, I hope I am making the right decisin on the Eiger. $5000.00 is a lot of cash to spend on the wrong toy. Have looked at ALL the rest though and think (HOPE) this is the right one. Not going to buy any insurance after the six month warranty.

Thanks again...

Well if it makes you feel better I have done some research on this class of ATV's and after a couple of months have decided on the Eiger myself.

I would try to get them down a little more or at least get some accessories thrown in. It is a buyer's market right now and sales are slow. If nothing else, you might get a nice helmet and gloves thrown in. It never hurts to ask. They can give you $200 in accessories and only be losing $100 at their cost.
