I was wondering if someone could tell me the size of the chain for a 86 quadracer lt250r? Will I be able to switch the sprocket sizes with out changing the chain? Is there any kind of chain adjustment? I ordered a manuel for the quad, but I dont want to wait for it to get a new chain.

thanks

The chain size is a 520x102, Depending how much adjusting room you have on the chain will depend on if you have to add or take away links for a sprocket change. On my banshee I had to take a link off to go down one size on the front sproket. Put the sproket on that you want to use then put your old chain on and see how many links you need to add or take off, then go to the place where you are going to buy your chain and tell them the number of links you need on your 520 chain.

The chain that was on there only had 100 links, and that is with the stock sprokets (12 front 42 rear). Is it possible for the chain to stretch that much, im almost sure the chain is original, everything else is. waiting for some new sprokets before i buy a chain.
