LT 500 Rear Coil Rate???
#1
On a 1988 LT500, Would any one Know the Stock Coil Rate???
I only weight about 165lb plus Gear. I Have Losen the coil all the way, Got the shock
rebuilt, change all Bearings and Seal, and still only sags down about 1/2" inch when
I sit on it. I think maybe some of the previous owner might of changed the coil to a heavier coil rate.
My last option is to gain a 100lb pounds or so...
Thank You !!!

I'm having the same problem with my Zilla. It actually pogo sticked me over the handlebars several months ago so it is a serious problem for me too. I'm getting mine rebuilt and revalved and should have it back any day now. I'll let you know if it improves anything. I asked the guy rebuilding it if I should get a new spring and he talked me out of it. They are not that expensive, around $100, and the manufacturer/dealer should know stock rates for comparison. If mine is still stiff after the rebuild I may replace mine as well. I'll re-post later.
