Hey everyone, I did a search on skid plates on the forum, but wanted to know if any new companies have joined the scene. I have heard RAVE reviews about Pro-Armor skids but was dissapionted to find out they are straight across the bottom of the swingarm skid. You lose so much groung clearance without the plate hugging the bottom. I have also heard AC RACING makes a good set but I havn't seen pictures as of yet. can anybody help with some confessions and maybe a pic or two. Thanks

i still recomend pro armor. even though there is no valley in the middle the pro armor skid has better ground clearance than stock and the toughest swing arm skid i have ever seen. pm lobe_z, he can hook you up with a great deal.

The GNCC guys complained about the swingarm skid design enough to make Pro Armor change it. It will take a few weeks, but the new skid plate will have the famous valley through the middle of it.

ProArmor fits and looks the best. No issue with the swingarm. I do have a few big chunks out of it, so I guess it's doing it's job!!!!

For an underbelly skid, go PRO Armor. For a swing arm skid, go PRM. They've worked out what issues they had early on and already have the valley. Now I'm pissed because I have the pro armor skid for my swing, and now they're changing it. Oh well.

Thanks everyone for the replys. I'm glad to hear PRO-ARMOR has re-designed thier rear skid in favor of a valley in the middle. Has anyone used or seen up close the Suzuki skid and engine pan?

I would stay away from the AC swing arm skid, try pro armor or prm. Can normally see the AC swing arm on ebay.
