Hey has anyone tried any of the 450kits. A pipe only adds a couple of hp but i read an article on the yoshi 450 kit and it added a fair amount of hp. If you have, you draged it against anything?

the pipe is awesome!!!
toomey claimes it has 26hp which i close to a 400EX and with the weight advatage of the quad an me(i'm 14 and 110lb.) i think i could take or atleast be close to a 400EX.
i love the sound it's loud but sounds pretty cool
it sounds like a 250R
its a whole new quad now i just wish i had better suspension and the new disk brake but hey you can't have everything
whats your ride?

I have a completly stock blaste and i am looking for more power. I dont know if i want the toomey pipe or splurge for the CT big bore kit. Do u think with the big bore kit i will need a longer swing arm or any other mods???

ya i think you will need to widen and legthen if you get the ct bigbore kit. Mine would wheelie pretty easy before i put the extention on. So you will probably need to go longer. You can flip the front wheels around to make it more stable and then in the back i would suggest new tires the stockers are ballonish and don't hook up as well. If you get new wheels you can use the offset to make it wider in the back. If not you can buy wheel spacers or if you have the money a new axle and for the front new a-arms.
If i had the money i would have got the CTkit i had to pay half so they toomey kit was quite a bit cheaper and added enough hp for me then in couple a years i'll get a knew quad. Also we had sum conserns with the chassis holding together. A chassis made for 17hp might not be able to handle 40hp. And also just the pipe would be more reliable. But if you have the $$$ go for the ct kit i'd love to know how it works it should smoke a EX and beat a Z and give even stock banshees and raptors a run for there money.

Man toomy i dont know where u drag but in the dunes blasters with a pipe, jetting and a air filter cant touch my 400 or be even close. My friend has a 230 kit i think in his blaster and he still isnt close to beating me. WE are about the same height and weight and the 400 blew away the blaster. We traded bikes and same outcome. So dont say the 400 is slow b/c it would smoke ur bike.

One other thing you said that the Toomy pipe gives a 25% power increase. My caculations show that it would have 21.25 Hp if the stock is 17... Check ur math next time
