Forget the turbo, I'm using the hairdryer to warm my a$$ up while I'm riding in January!

Hey, seriously though, we've all decided that the hairdryer is a pretty lame idea, but I wonder how many lame ideas were tossed aside before people came up with stuff like the internal combustion engine, the computer, sliced bread, etc... It's a vital part of the scientific method. I'm a mechanical engineer, and I do alot of tests and experiments, and if I had a dime for every lame ideas I've come up with, well, you know... Let's all play nice, ok?

Default hair dryer turbo??

Look, if anyone seriously tries this blow dryer thingy, please let me know how it turns out. Also, post whatever else you learn as well. I have a couple of things I'd like to hook my blow dryer to.

First, I'd like to knock a couple of minutes off my 0 - 60 time in my little four banger pickup. That would be nice. Then, I would like to rig one up on my riding mower and knock a few seconds off my lawn mowing time as well.

I think that an extension cord for the hair dryer would be do-able since I won't be leaving the yard on the lawn mower. However, I may have to do some engineering to make the Toyota adaptation work.

Cheers.

Default hair dryer turbo??

That hairdryer thing was pretty hilarious, not just funny (because of the sheer stupidity). But seriously folks, maybe the turbo,(real, with an intercooler and stuff) might be to the ATV industry what it was to the Diesel industry and make everyone like diesels uhrr I mean atv's again. Or am I the only one noticing alll this bad publicity against the ATV. Oh yeah and look at this post:Turbo Kit in Making

Nahhh... see the thing is, Diesels didnt have enough power before they were turboed. Turboing them was a GOOD thing.
Modern ATVs have more than enough power to hurt/kill people.
Factory turboing would add fuel to the fire, and we would all be burned.

ps. Turboing an ATV isnt really a new thing... "ScoobyDFW" here on this forum has a Turbo DS650,
and there have been plenty of turbo Banshees, not to mention the recent turbo kits for 400EX's and Raptors.
(in a recent dirt wheels mag... and very expensive. $5000... and they are STILL not as fast as a worked banshee)

I'm new to the forum, and I'm not trying to crack on anybody, but why not buy a faster atv. There has to be one out there, even custom made. With the money you will spend repairing your atv after the hair dryer attempts, plus replacing your mom and sister's hair dryers, money must not be an issue.j/k
Keep up the ideas...one day you will put an idea on here and everybody will say "why didnt we think of that". This hair dryer idea...I'm sorry to say...is not it.
