Q'racer 250 VS. Hi-Per quads of today
#1
I need to now how a stock Quadracer 250 (87-92) would do against the new high performance quads of today. (400EX/ Raptor/ Baja 650/ Banshee/ Z400/ and Cannibal) The categories to compare are play MX, trail (fast and slow riding), hill climbs, drag races, and pure fun. I am looking at a Racer that has Paul Turner pipe, silencer, and cool head, stock bore, Ohlins front shocks and revalved/ rebuilt rear shock. I am wondering how all the quads listed would compare stock VS stock to a Q'racer 250? Thank you.

Q'racer 250's are great quads man, go for it, i know it will blow the 400EX and Z400 away, as for the others im not sure, some of the bigger bore quads like the raptor might have more top end, but the q'racer will definately hold its own and with the mods the one ur lookin at has, it'l def. kick ***, they are quick quads remember they are 2 strokes that have awesome punch that the newer 4 strokes don't have.... go for it, good luck in ur descision....

I ride with two guys that have Trinity built Quadracers. They both raced me and acouple of Z400's at Haspin acres on Saturday. They both were no match for either the Z400 or My DS 650. I was surprised as were they. I even rode one of the quadracers and was surprised at how slow it felt. They had just as much fun as the rest of us in the woods though.

the R is actually slower than the LT on the top end. i know for a fact the lt's walk all over EX's in a drag race. even my peice of crap 85 had no problem wiping the floor with ex's. i would be very suprised if the Z was faster than the LT. diamon have you witnessed this drag race personally? because with equal riders i am sure the LT would beat the Z. now when you get into MX its a different story.

There are not many stock LT's around I raced them in '85 to '87 then switched to a Tecate 4 for 2 years the to a 250R. Mostly it is from memory but I have raced a completly stock 250R w/ my ex and he was not that much faster we swapped quads and had the same results. I was beaten by a stock z by much more. The 250R was faster than the LT up to top speed then the LT would pull away the Tecate was quit a bit faster than either. Of the 3 I was fastest on the 250r due to better geomotry of the frame.
The thing I said though is the stock bikes were corked up pretty bad and not many people left them like that we all swapped to a different pipe. When we did that then the Z would be lunch. The stock 250r I draged was restored by a friend who wanted it to be like it rolled off the floor, he even found a stock pipe.
