I'm picking up my new Eiger 4x4 tomorrow. Will it fit in the back of my 99 Ram short box with the tailgate up?

Mine won't fit lengthwise in my 00 f150 supercab, have to leave the tail gate down. That thing is long because of the way the front skidplate sticks out. Found that out after I bought it unfortunatley. My Kodiak fits which is nice that I can lock my tailgate in hunting season.

My dad's QuadRunner 500 fit in the back of my uncles short bed with a few inches to spare.

 

my Vinson was about 1 inch too long for my Dodge short box. Not sure what the total lengths are on both machines. Unfortunately I don't have either one now. Hopefully come spring, I'll have a new arsenal in the garage.

 

Your Eiger will not fit with tailgate up. I had a 98 Ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 short bed.
I used ratchet straps from racks to tie-down points in box. They are'nt that much at Wal-Mart.

 

Thanks for the info. I'll just have to leave the tailgate down and strap it in real good.
