Default weak stator symptoms on zilla

What would be some symptoms from a weak stator on a Zilla. My quad starts good, idles fine and runs very strong until about 3/4 where it starts to run rough and almost refuses to rev up higher. I put in a new rotor in July after the old one broke of and took along with it the small plastic tabs on the lighting and pick up coils. No wires were damaged except for those plastic tabs. Anyone know what a weak stator does???

if your bike starts it probably isnt the stator . it sounds more like main jet might be a little small not letting enough fuel through or the reeds . i thought my stator went bad on a dune trip but it was my reeds .

On a Zilla there are three coils on the stator. 2 for lights, one for ignition. Since there is only one it's a deal where it either works or it doesn't. With that being said check your wiring over, pay particular attention to the grounds.

My lights were also very dim last trip out. Found one lighting coil bad (open winding). Replaced the coils with new ones (130 watt !) from Ricky Stator. $53.00 for the two coils. They also sell a complete stator assembly for around $130.00
