i have a 87 quad sport and on the carb next to the gas hose there is another nozzle coming out like there should be a hose connected to it what could it be. and also what is the difference between douglas rims .160 and .190 and also what is a nice size tire for holeshots.

I think that the tube is some sort of vent. The difference in the rims is that one is thicker and therefore stronger. I have 22x11-9 Holeshot XCT's on my 300ex. I used to have them on my quadsport. They went pretty good. My friend just got a set of dirtdogs for his quadsport but they don't like to spin. Hope that I helped.

Kidco,
That nozzle is a vent for your carb you should get a new piece of tube (lowes, and Home depot should have it) and install it, You will need a piece about a foot long and it should be routed down to the ground (let it hang about an inch below the frame) avoiding the exhaust and anything that might pinch it. As for the rims the .190 are heavy duty and well worth the extra ten bucks, If you ride in the sand than the .160 will be fine.

Yo
i have a230 quadsport also and that spot you are talking about is a vent and you really dont need anything on it but i'd put a hose on it just incase.
