what mods have you done to your vinson

 

I've put DynoJet kits in both of my Vinsons. I've noticed an improvement in mid-range acceleration. I'm waiting for K&N to put out an air filter for the Vinson. It should add more oomph to the jet kit.

What did the jet kit do for your Vinson's take-off. I am trying to find out how to make mine take off like the Kaw. 650 without dropping a twin cylinder in it.

 

I rode with a guy who had a high comp piston headporting and a cam plus HMF exhaust with a modded air box on his vinny. Its just a hair faster than a bone stocl p650. If i remember right he got all his parts from F.S.T.

 

How loud was the HMF exhaust? I'm hearing they are pretty loud. SuperTrapp also makes an aftermarket exhaust for the Vinson and I think they're tunable.

i didnt notice a change with the jet kit, but i havent raced anyone or gone wheelin in any heavy mud to realy tell

The exhaust isnt ear peircing loud. They do make a quiet core which helps some. The IDS-X for the Vinson arent worth putting on IMO because the power increase is minimal. With 8 discs in its the same flow as stock. With all the discs in it makes a slight gain. It is noticable. If your looking for just a little more power with more torque for turning bigger wheels and dont want the extra noise its worth it. But if your looking for big gains the IDS-X isnt for you.
