I was recently down riding my 1988 Racer in Waynoka and I noticed my Racer was starting to lean out (as if it were running out of gas) Only catch was the gas tank was full. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem with their LT250? It leans out real bad after a long hillclimb or any other time I am really on the gas. I let off of the throttle and it revs real high even though the throttle cable is not sticking. I have tried spraying carb/choke cleaner all around the carb to see if there is an air leak but the seals around the carb seem to be alright. Is something wrong with my reeds? any information would be great.

Sounds like an air leak, you need to do a pressure test on it. Go to WWW.Offroad.com and check out the ATV tech section, you will find a way to build your own, cheaply. I'll bet 100% that is your prob. Later.

Do a leakdown test. On older engines the seals leak that causes lean conditions on 2-strokes.
