Default Does the Size of Tires effect the Speed?

I am probably going to get ITP Holeshot MX's 18*11-8 combo with the blue label wheels, but the tires are smaller than the stock ones on my Z. Is this goin to effect the speed at all. Any other recomindations on tires/wheels combo's?

It's going to slow down your top speed but your acceleration will be greater.

Thanks I was looking around and I may go with the Maxxis Razr 20*11*9. I really dont know to much about tires but what does 6 ply mean, and how much better is it? O yea and what do you think is better ITP or Maxxis?

6 ply is the strength of the tire. 6 ply is the best if I remember correctly.

6 ply is not the best there is no best, it depends on what you do, 2 ply you will get the most traction but will wear fast, 4 ply is a medium and 6 ply is the strongest it is made for cross country and stuff like that, i will last the longest.

I think the number of ply refers to the strength of the sidewall. Tread life is related more to the composition of materials for the tread, not the number of plys.

the holeshots are made from a harder material than the razrs so th holeshots will wear alot longer than the razrs
