I know what you mean by shakey, my 500 4x4 was shakey but that was because my tie rods and swingarm bushings were wore out with only 450 hrs on it. It was tight when I bought it though. Really a stable bike. Too bad about the $800 canadian it needed to get it back to new handling condition. I may have kept it if it hadn't wore out so quick.

Im my opinion the best woods bike is a trail modded scrammy or sport. Just gas and brake to worry about and go. I live 15min from the Ozark National Forrest, and the most fun I ever had was on my bike when it was trail modded. By the way stebob, my wife's bike just has a trail pipe and I trail ported it myself, and it will KILL a Z-400 even with a pipe on a straight line race. The Polaris 400 ports are extremely conservative and a little port work wakes them up big time. Bubba

Not trying to offend anyone, but I didn't think anything could wake up a polaris,I rode one before and in my opinion it was slower then a dead blood hound, everone that I have raced at the drag's I've spanked badly,But heck I think it's great that someone know's how to wake them up cuz the snowmobile like drive train is the way to go and with the right set could be a fast machine in the drag world.

You should talk to some of the peple at Little Sahara about the heavy, non sport quad
kicking their @ss. Can you believe some even quit racing.......
I guess they couldn't handle it, getting beat and all......

A lot a people are not into polaris because they don't know how they work,
and run. But I love mine........

See ya

I think that's great!!Heck I guess some ppl. can't take the heat of getting beat in a race so they quit,me on the other hand I like to try and beat the top dog,if I can't then I tune my machine more and try again,I guess that's why my Zilla is so fast in 300ft.Glad that i didn't offend ya MS BuBba.......Zilla

Just out of curiosity to get a comparison, what was your 1/8 mile time and speed? My Sport ran a 8.42 at 77 mph. Thanks,Bubba

7.68@83mph,it was my first time @ the quarter mile, had too tall of tire on the rear, and the gearing was wrong,15/39 robbing horse power like crazy,so I went and bought bigger fogger jets and slick's for the rear.Heck Bubba if you lived around here you could make a killin on the polaris, sound's like your's run quite well, wish I could get alcohol work on my quad.I seen your pic's and your quad look's great.

Hey thanks! I figured your time to be somewhere around the high 7 mark. That's about all I can do to the polaris without spending the big bucks on chromemoly, aluminum and titanium. It still weighs about 435lbs. So with me we're tipping the scales at 630lbs. I dont think that's too bad. Most people dont understand the time involved to get one of these running like this. I am lucky enough to save money by doing all portwork, clutching, etc myself. By comparison, we ran my 99 stocker at the strip. It ran mid 11's at 55mph in the 1/8th. So mine runs 3 seconds faster and 22mph more in just 660ft. Took awhile to get there but it did happen. There are a few more of these in the southern area like mine, but not alot. It would be funny to show up somewhere not being known by anyone and do some spankin. I have actually been looking for a Zilla. If I find the right one it's going to replace the race sport. Bubba
