i have a KFX400 (same thing as Z400) and it doesnt have the snap your neck, pull a back flip under throttle blips acceleration from a dig of a raptor, but it hangs w/ it top end, and handles oh so much better and doesnt have the tippyness of a raptor

I have a 2002 raptor and a 2003 z400. The raptor has alot more power then the z400 but is also not at stable as the z400 either. I like the way the z400 shifts. Its very smooth and percise were the raptor feels kinda messy. They are both great on the trails but in the sand their is no comparison. I perfer the raptor because i am 5'10" and 200 pounds. My wife perfers the z400 because she is 5'8" and 140 pounds. They are both great quads and i think your size plays a big issue in which one you should buy.

the only difference in size between the two is the engine...they both have the same specs pretty much concerning the frame and stuff...but on the other hand...the z400 is much wider than the raptor making it much more stable and better for racing...the engine for the Z also revs much higher and faster than the raptor... the raptor is only really good for like drags...the Z applys much better in more of the types of riding...the Z is a great trail/mx quad. sure the raptor has a bit more top end than the Z but then again ure not gonna drag with the Z anyways...and top end dont matter than much in the atv world...raptor may be more top end fast... but the Z400 is much quicker...

Hi Kain
Iam from the UAE and i live in Al-Ain. I got a 2004 banshee and i think it is the best ATV for sand spanking.
You will have alot of good time riding the banshee.
By the way, Where do u ride at?
Have u been to Alain coz we have some big dunes here that u might wanna spank

For straight dune riding I would go with the raptor or banshee. The z400 is a great trail bike but race after race my brother's raptor always beats me. Remember there's no replacement for displacement. The banshee is also a top choice for the dunes. They are very detuned and can be woken up very easily with a few mods.
