Default LT 500 after market ignition?

I'm looking for an ignition for my 88 LT 500. I want to get rid of the heavy flywheel and don't care about running lights. Fastline used to make them but I can't find that company listed any longer, guess they went under. Does anyone have a source for a high performance ignition for the LT 500?

Thanks

Well less flywheel weight alow's the engine to rev alittle higher, you can advance the timing for better performance or to run alcohol.I bought mine from Vito, but I think you can get one at FTZ Racing.I paid $485.00 for mine,I don't know how much one would be from FTZ Racing.Sorry I didn't get to technical, but you can get peak performance out of the engine from timing advancement, just don't advance it too far,the back kick hurt's like HELL.I hope that I at least gave you some insight on the PVL.

Thanks for the info. Outcast and Zilladaddy.

Zilladaddy, how does work in your bike? A marked improvment or not noticable? How much timing adjustment is there.

Thank you

I noticed the "R"'S were there alot quicker,it work's good in the bike have'nt had any problem's with it.The direction's only give you a point to set it at,but don't let that discourage you,you can advance the timing, just be careful on how much you advance it though. One time I set the timing too far advanced and the damn thing back kick the kick starter right through the sole of my shoe into my foot.......OUCH!!!!!!!!But anyway I'll look for the spec's and let you know.
