Default how to cross it with a 2x4

what is the best way to cross a creek that both banks go straight down and up on a 2x4 ozark 250 ? like this [---] both sides are 4 foot tall . would it work if i slide the fourwheeler down one side and dig a groove in the other bank like a ramp like this [--/ think it'l work or should i try to rig a small bridge across?

Hey do the eco-friendly thing and build a bridge. Nowadays it doesn't take much for people to deny trail ridindg access. Riders should try to make as many friends on the trail as possible. Remember any trail user is fighting for the same cause you are-ACCESS!!
In the mean time keep on ridin'

If you do attempt it, make sure you lean back going down and lean forward going up. Also, keep your momentum going forward while going up, don't stop halfway. Be careful, if the bike starts to flip on you, jump out of the way. Probably best to have a buddy with you also. Don't ever try difficult stuff if you are alone.

There is no way any atv would get up the other side if it is that steep. How wide is it?

Take 4 2x6 and nail 2 together side by side and space the 2 sections as wide as they need to be for you quad. If you want a better one get some planks and put them on the 2x6.

More info....if it's only that wide you can easily fab something to get across. Some plywood and a couple cut down oaks will do. 5-6' tree should do it. Be sure to stake it on both sides.

4 feet shouldn't be that hard, it that's all it is the bike will jump right up it. Just lean forward, and the bike won't flip. Just to be safe tie a rope on the front end then to a treee or something like that, or just have a friend there at the top of the hill to grab the front end and pull you up. Even better if a 4X4 can make it first, get him to winch you up.
