Default Valve adjustment

Just got the first 125 miles on the Eiger and all seems well. I had the first oil change at 95 miles and the book said to have the clearance on the valves checked. I thought that was part of the first trip but the guy didn't check the adjustment. Truth is i don't know if I would have wanted him to take any action. He didn't look too sharp. Soooo the question is ... how important is to have the valves adjustment checked? Sounds OK and runs good. Better to just leave it alone? I mean we don't have car and other motors opened up when they are new just to check such.

Would like to hear from you Eiger owners if your machine needed any adjustments.

Default Valve adjustment

Normally, when they are out of adjustment, you will here them tapping. But most bikes I have done after the break-in period have needed an adjustment, although most of the time it is a small one. To be safe I would check them. Normally a valve adjustment/check is part of the break-in service a dealership does when you bring it back to them. They should have done one. I would complain to them if you paid to have that done.
