1990 Suzuki Quadrunner Lt230e
I just bought one of these last night. It is in mint condition and equipped with nerf bars and brand new tires.
The previous owner hasn't used in it in a few years and I am going to get it going. First could anyone tell me what this quad is like performance wise? It looks like a sport quad but has an automatic clutch. I'm not expecting it to be an animal but i would like to keep up with my buddies in the trails who have yamaha blasters. Also where is the best place to get parts for this quad? Thanks. - Ernest.

Hello Ernest and welcome to the forum. It's been awhile since I rode one of those, but from what I can remember they are good quads.
A friend of my fathers had one that I used to ride on occasion. (10-12 yrs ago)I don't think they have much in the suspension department,(I could be wrong) but they're reliable and somewhat quick. You should be able to run with Blasters, maybe not in an open field, but definately on trails. I'm not sure where the best place to get parts would be, I'm sure one of the Suzuki guys will be along to help with that. Have fun, be safe.

In high school my buddy had the same quad. we rode almost everyday for about two years. I had a 250 sport. the 230e is the same as a 230 sport except the auto clutch and electric start. you will be able to easily ride with the blasters. It's a really reliable quad just watch the chain adjustment. Parts for it should be really easy to find I'm not sure about allot of aftermarket parts but a pipe off a 230 sport will bolt right up. Try your local suzuki dealer for stock stuff. Dennis Kirk or other mail order places should have allot of stuff for it in slight mods. They are not the greatest jumper but is a little better then a stock suspension blaster. hope this helps a little. Make sure you buy a clymer manual for it. It's a great tool for diagnosing any problems you may have and it's about half the cost of the factory service manual.
