If they are new rims ,you should have gotten the flat ones with the rims......every set of douglas rims i have ever bought came with the flat lugs....maybe the company just threw them in

Well, a few of us have said already that there are several ways to skin a cat. You can do it the half-*** way or the right way. Me, personally , I like to do it the right way. One day your turning nuts around backwards and the next day your putting duct tape all over your plastics etc... Whatever the case may be some people prefer perfection, others do not.

I really dont see whats the big deal with jut flipping them I never had a problem and I dont think there is a big difference between the flat side on the stock one and the flat side on the after market ones. "If there really is a big difference please explain"

word from the wise, ITP is selling these pretty sweet new spun rims with countersunk holes so you can run a tapered lug w/out marring the wheels, and htey look great and are 10x's stronger then .190 rims. only prob is they are a lil heavier, but i run them on my LTZ no problem. im not sure what their retail is, but i picked mine up at glamis at one of the venders @ 60$ per rim!

Gee "Dad"...it's not a matter of perfection...it's a matter of personal preference because either way works fine. You need to get off your "perfect" soap box and reallize that your way is neither the "perfect" way, or the only way to go about these things. Yes it is just fine to get a flanged nut to fit up flush with your wheel. But putting a washer on is the exact same thing... Just because someone does something different than you doesn't mean that they are gonna be "putting duct tape on the plastics", or holding their quad together with bailing wire and zip-ties. All of us less-than-perfect guys have found a cost effective and perfectly functional way of using our stock lugnuts. Having shiny lugnuts really doesn't matter to alot of people, including me. But then again....the first thing I ever look at when I see a nice quad is whether or not it's lugnuts are "perfect". If they are turned around the quad is "obviously" a piece of $hit. I guess my 24 years of riding experience...including the first ATC 90 means nothing. You'd think if swapping lugnuts around was a problem, that at least once in 24 years, I would have lost a lugnut or thrashed a wheel. 24 years with not a single problem sounds like "PERFECTION" to me. Now you can have your soapbox back. Happy New Year!!!!!

I am another who has just turned the lug nuts around and had no problem, in fact I didn't even use a washer. The wheels are douglas .125 blue labels with skat trak edges, on a 300ex and they never even came close to coming loose. I have been doing this for years, and have never hada problem. It will be my luck now that they will come off this weekend in Glamis. Oh well, its my wifes quad. J/K
