Default Installing kill switch

Maybe one of you guys can answer this for me. I want to install a Pro Design tether switch to my Z400. Some people have told me to hook it up to the coil wire but I was told that is not right, since it is a battery powered quad, could cause a short. Can you hook it up to the original wires of the kill switch and if so how exactly do you do it as in wires going to which wire.
Instructions state to go to the ignition pulse wire but I have no idea as to which wire this is.

Thanks for any help,
dads400

I haven't installed one but I would think it would go inline with the factory engine on/off (kill) swith. The red one below the headlight high/low beam switch. Just find the two wires that go to the switch, clip one wire it shouldn't matter which and put the new tether switch inline.
