I've seen some posts on the vent hose coming from the fan is causing some trouble. Is this hose
for venting or letting water drain out of it? This will answer my question of routing the hose higher so water
cannot get to it or lower to let it drain.

 

i would think its a vent for heat. cause the motor otherwise is sealed
