Default Ozark valve adjustment

Has anyone adjusted their valves on their Ozark? How hard is it ? What are the clearances and how much do you have to remove to get to them? I don't want to sepnd the money to have the dealer do it.

Thanks

Chris

Adjusting/checking the valve clearances is not hard. It is a little time consuming because you have to take off the front plastic and gas tank in order to get to the motor. The valve clearances for the ozark are (.001-.003) on the intake, (.003-.005) on the exhaust. The plug that you take out and look into to check for TDC (Top Dead Center) is on the left top side of the engine (below and to the left of the carb) if you are sitting on the bike. It is a black plug (17mm) It sticks out pretty good, you can't really miss it. You will need to check the clearance on the compression stroke.
