Ozark riding double
#1
Has anyone been riding double on their ozark? If we get one I plan on giving rides to my grandchildren, and my wife once in awhile. I know that it is a small machine for doing that. The trails that I will be riding are pretty much level and I am not a hot-rodder. Combine weight of wife and myself is 320 lbs. Thanks for any info.

I *could* be done but you'd be pushing the limits. I know one of the few complaints about the Ozark it that the rear rack sits pretty far foward and is easy to bump into.
IMHO, riding double on trails on a small size bike is just not a good idea - all too easy to pop that front end up and over, even if you are not pushing the limits.

I would consider the Trail Boss if you are going to be doubling some. It has a very big seat for more comfort and an overall bigger size for more stability. I have a friend who used to ride one and he weighed 350 by himself! It got him around just fine.

Polaris are bigger. If riding double is in the plan you should seriously consider the Trail Boss. I have found that riding double on a Polaris is just fine, absolutely no problems, like it was made for it. The Ozark is a great machine, but it is a little on the small side, and if you are planning on doing a lot of double up riding, it may not be the best choice for you....
....Of course there is the Bombardier Traxter Max, with an extended wheelbase and raised rear seat for the passenger.....

i never have a problem riding double, i have one of those bike pads(like on little kids bikes) on the rear rack so 2 people dont have to sit so tight together. plus the extra weight gives you good traction through snow
