Default WB R-4 System for Z-400

I just ordered a complete White Bros R-4 system for my brothers Z-400. (he wants to keep up with my Predator) Does anyone have this on there Z? The pipe shootout gave the R-4 a good write-up, and was one of the quietest pipes. Also, in the shootout they said a 165mj was used without the air box lid. He wants to keep the lid on because of the snow and wet conditions around here. So what jet should he use? Hopefully the $390 on the system will be worth it.

from the sounds of your accespries, clear hoses with blue dye white bulbs etc. you just want to look. the white brothers r4 is an awsome pipe and is much better than a (*^&(* big gun.

Unless he plans on submurging the bike you don't need a lid on a Z400. The way the fendors are molded it does a very good job at protecting the airbox from mud and water. I have a CFM aluminum box on the way and after talking to Neal I'm confident it will be ok. The gains without a lid are pretty good on the Z400. Just go by Dyno-jet's recommendations. They seem to be right on the money with their recomendations.

if you want to run the bike with out the air box lid..get a outerwear cover for the filter...i dont know if they make it for the stock filter but if you are getting full whitebrothers exhaust..i would guess you are changing the air filter..the outerwear is pretty much water proof..and fits k&n filters and pro design
