Default lt 80 please help

Hi I have recently tore down my sons lt 80. I am starting to piece it back together and I have an extra wire not hooked up. It is red and coming from the engine underneith the carb. Does anyone know what this is and where it goes I cant remember unhooking it? Thanks.

Starter ground? I'm just putting one back together myself. Does it have a copper ring(for a bolt) on the end of the wire?

Check out this link, it is a wiring diagram for the LT80. There are a few wires that go towards the front of the quad that I had to hook up under the front plastic. The have to do with the key switch and starter button. Also does the wire have a square plastic connector or is it a metal clip that is pointed?

There can only be so many wires. Under the carb woukld be the lone starter wire (it grounds through the motor)I think thats what you have. The only other wires come from the ignition and they are red/black and red/white.There is a ground wire going to the top bolt of the fan cover, but surely isn't red, unless it's been replaced.
