splitting lt250r crankcase
I'm going to be splitting the cases in the morning. Everything is ready now. Got my parts (most of them, cycleparts.com has very sh***y service) All I have left to do is take out the bolt and washer holding the shifter drum to the case. I found out that my shifter shaft was bent pretty good today so I had to hack saw that off to get it out. Now the only parts I need are a crank balancer weight and the shifter shaft. the crank balancer weight is discontinued from suzuki. Anyone know where I can find one?
thanks for the help,

Chuck,
Check out the part numbers for a 87 crank balancer and your 91. If they are the same part I may be able to help you out. If they are the same make me an offer. I do need to check out the part and make sure they are good, but I have a spare motor I've been pulling parts off of.

I split my cases today. It went pretty good. It was a lot easier than I had thought it would have been. I got my crankshaft out and have been cleaning it since I found about a tablespoon of powder like trap rock from the quarry down the road. I think I had a leak between the reeds and the cylinder. I am going over everything. I am going to be putting it back together in the morning, the crankcases atleast until I get my other parts. Thanks for all the help
