EIGER 2/4 engagement
#1
What does it feel like when you flip the lever to 4 wheel drive on your Eiger or suzuki? My lever is so effortless, I suspect it is not hooked up to anything! I have only 2 hours on machine [break in period], and my prior experience in 4x4 does not "feel" the same on new Eiger. Lotsa fun, but I've no way of telling if 4 wheels have engaged. Any help or suggestions?

I just bought my Eiger 2 weeks ago. The first weekend I had it, I was running in 2 wheel drive through about 8 inches of snow in some ditches and got hung up. I flipped the lever into 4 wheel drive and pulled myself right out. The lever moved easily, but it did engage. I wouldn't worry about it.
Enjoy the Eiger

The 2 / 4 wheel drive system on the Eiger is really smooth. Despite what the specs say, you can go in/out of 4wd at any speed, although I suspect that you have to back off a load to get it to engage. Once you get to know the bike better, it's easy to feel the difference between two and four wheel drive - it's harder to powerslide the rear in 4wd and you can feel a little differemce in the steering.
