I too would like to know how to get rid of the choke lever on the bars, I want to change bars, put a twist throttle on, get rid of the parking brake, change the clutch perch, put a tethered kill switch and generally get rid of all the nonsense on the bike. Like I don't need brake lights and the huge rear tailight either.
Might save a few pounds in the process.

How does the choke on the DRZ work? Does anyone know? It uses the 39FCR that has no choke built in.

Maybe a dumb question:

Why do you want to remove the choke from the bars? Is it just cosmetic? I always kind of liked it up there. Just curious.

Sorry,
If the choke is hooked onto the light switch I understand fully. Those things are so lame. I was under the impression that it was seperate.

I had a DRZ and if I remember right you could unscrew the choke **** assembly right out of the carb, I would guess that you could do the same to the Z400 and trade them, but I could be wrong. Go to Thumpertalk.com and look in the DRZ forum, there was alot of helpfull people there when I used to use that forum.
