I heard that Suzuki is going to introduce the new Vinson with the option of having both the manual and automatic shift so that you can switch between the two. Anybody know if there is any truth to this or not ???
Thanks

I doubt it. The auto Vinson is a CVT transmission. Since CVT's don't have gears or stop points there is no way to manually select different 'gears'. Honda has it with the Rincon because it has a three speed transmission, they can also do it with the Rubi (after a fashion) because of it's hydraulic drive.

I'd bet what you heard was meant to be taken that you can now have a choice between an auto or 5-speed Vinson, just not in the same bike.

Thanks for the reply........Yes , you are probably right about me misunderstanding them. I thought I would check to see if anyone else knew for sure though. My Brother-in- Law was interested in knowing because he has Suzuki and is in the market for a new one.I will let him know the input I received.
Thanks for the quick reply!!!
