Well the axle has already been fixed, I doubt they will fix to much, probably just graphics and maybe a few added things to strengthen the frame. What they should really do though, is send one to me and let me be a factory racer, how about it Suzuki, I have one race under my belt on a stock 300EX, I got 3rd overall against all the other high performance and sport machines.

The first batch of axles were improperly heat treated I believe, so they fixed that a while ago.

the frames have been cracking at the shock towers, front and rear. This is the only thing the stopped me from buying the Z instead of the Baja that I picked up yesterday. Check out the web page of guys like BartlettRacing. There are a few others on here that have added gussetts to their bikes. I just don't remember who. A quick search in the threads here will give all the info you want to know about the Z/KFX.

Is the steel on the frame weldable? And how were those quads being used, if they were by advanced riders that jump alot, I won't have to worry!!! I LOVE my new 03Z400, picked it up yesterday. White is beautiful on those things!!

Yes, for the most part the frames that are breaking are being ridden in such ways that you should reinforce the frame on any machine you plan to ride that extreme. I spose a few could be from normal riding but by either a nasty wreck, or some fata$$ like myself getting big air and landing wrong alot!(s) They will definately take all the abuse any average rider will give it. Enjoy your new ride, they are awesome!

most of the frames that have cracked are from riders who are racing them or are getting big air. ive had my z for 6 months now and ride hard in the dunes and in the desert . my frame has not cracked and my axel has not bent.
