Well, I did it, just picked up the Vinson yesterday, couldnt turn down the deal really, $5200 for an 03', Auto!!!
I was going to get the 5sp, but when they went down this low, i couldnt say no.
The only things I dont like so far, are the weak racks, backed into a tree very slowly, bent the back rack already, so I will be gettin front and rear bumpers.
I also dont like the rivets holding the red plastic to the footrest, they pop out too easy.
And the tires are junk, which all you know already, 2wd in slick mud, you just spin.
But so far I love it, glad i picked it up, and thanks for all the info you guys gave me.

 

Hey Polarisman, Congratulation ,You got a very good price on the vinson. I just picked up a 5 speed on friday. The vinson is awesome. It has tons of power. I put 78 miles on it this weekend. I'm going to add those bumpers also. Now that you own a Suzuki vinson are you going to change your name?

 

Nah, I think I will just keep the name, I actually like Polaris more than any, just got something a little different this time.
I can say one thing, My Magnum was a hell of a lot tougher than the suzuki is.

 

Polarisman, What is so much toughter on your magnum? The suzuki vinson is rated the best in the 500cc class.

 

I took that Magnum through hell and back, and never bent anything on it, never cracked anything on it, I never had a problem with it. It had been rolled and flipped more times than i can count, and never hurt it.
Now that I got the Suzuki, I backed into a small tree at 5mph and bent the rear rack on the first day.
