4 strokes are todays technolgy..let me put it like this..a 69 camaro z28 was awsome in its day..but you can buy a new 2003 corvett and blow the doors off the camaro...now with alot of money you can make the z28 fast and nice again but it is still out dated...put a mint 69 z28 and a new 2003 z06 vette next to each other..and have a 50 year old and a 20 year old take there pick..i bet the 20 year old picks the new vette and the 50 year old picks the z28..its just todays technolgy and genration..you cant teach an old dog new tircks..

I'd take the old Z28. Every day that camaro gains value, while that vette is losing value.IMO

Ok that was a dumb example cause if you take the 69 Z28 versus a 69 Vette the Vette will take the Camaro anyways.

Oh yeah I will take a 2 smoke over a 4stroke cause they windout faster. At least mine does compared to my friends Z.

4 strokes are NOT (new)technolgy!! The ONLY REASON the manufactures build 4 strokes is because the have to by LAW!!
There is NO way a 4 stroke with the same displacment as a 2 stroke could even come close.
And to answer you question I bought a 69 z28 dz 302 at the age of 23 that is stock and will smoke the new vettes or Z28's If you consider heavier and slower 4 stroke quads new technolgy go ahead.
(My 1969 Z28 dz302 Stock will turn a 12.26 on the 1/4 mile with street tires)

I race a 2 stroke to win and ride a 4 stroke for fun.

no if you guys know how to read..and understand what you are reading.what im saying is ..today genration wants the new stuff....not the old 2 strokes that you have to put a ton of money in them to keep them nice....and rebuild every 2 years if you lucky..now if warriors where the fastest thing out there for a new sport quad than maybe it would be different..the 4 strokes today are pretty fast stock..never mind reverse...sorry you took the last post wrong..buy thats how it is..

Ok then why don't they take the technology of like todays RMs, CR's and etc. and make engine for quads put them in quad chassis OR make 2 strokes with DI (Direct Injection)? They burn cleaner than any fourstroke made!!!

because they would have to sell it for 7--8 grand..not to manny people want to spend that on a quad...now take a look at the z400..its pretty fast stock,,not arm ripping fast..but not bad..now take the raptor..660..the raptor is faster in a drag rite..but not by much..but go back to the z400...its 400cc..someone told me that 50 cc more isnt that big...now take the warrior..its a 350cc..the z would smoke it ..bad...and its only 50 cc more..now go back to the raptor...it has 260 cc more..and its not that much faster than the 400cc z....its all about the technolgy....the 4 strokes are getting faster and faster and more reliable...thats where the 2 strokes are losing the race...not saying that a 2 stroke isnt reliable or dependable..but the 4 stroke is way better in department...

And in 15 years that new Vette will be worth squat, the Z28 will have gained in value. I find the young as well as the old appreciate Vintage Iron as it rides by........outdated or not, my KR Shelby brings em ALL in at the gas station! It's funny when a young kid looks at that 8 track and says..what's that!

Just like the Raptor...what are the stars that everyone can recall in todays movies? The GTO, the Black Charger, and now everybody knows what a Shelby is (even though that wasn't one!). And the new 2F2F movie has alot more than one muscle car...at the least a Camaro and Challenger from what I can tell in the trailer...and an 03 Viper and 03 Saleen...gotta love em all!

And my white Z400 at 400 lbs is a wonderful thing for this old man.......as someone once said, if it don't scare ya, it ain't got enough power. For 95% of us, the Z is plenty of machine, and when my butt gets to old for air, it'll give me a nice soft cadillac ride!!! Now if I could just get the Z to sound like the 428 Cobra Jet at idle................
