I run a 147.5 in mine. I tried a 150, but the 147.5 is better. I have no lid, pro flow, K&N, no snorkle, holes in whats left of the airbox, we run at about 5000 ft. I would bet you should try a 152-then a 150. I bet you won't have to go down to that 147.5.

 

Cool thanks , do you happen to know how many turns you set your air screw ?

 

I run mine about 2-1/2, but I am not totally satisfied, I have been having idiling issues. I keep messing with that, the idle screw, and the pilot jet.

Have you ever been riding at Coral Pink? We are thinking about a trip down that way. I have a good friend from Kanab (the little town 10 mis from the dunes), he is trying to organize a trip down there, he just got a new DS650 so he is all over it.

 

Funny that you ask , we are planning a trip May 9th thru May 11th , I heard its awesome there but you have to reserve a camp site weeks in advance

 

My buddy says that he knows the spot and its not part of the Campgrounds, but right at the dunes. I will talk to him tonight and pm you tomorrow. Do you have a spot reserved yet? We were thinking about middle of May too.

Have not reserved yet , the women are goin so I am pretty sure we have to use the camp ground cause the women will only go where there are $hitters

 

I rode a z for the first time this weekend and i like the power,but it doesent compare to the pull on my rappy,I like the yosh pipe for the z..JMO

first time i rode a diffrent bike but i liked it..

 

lol, yeah I know that drill all to well. Just tell them the world is their toilet.
I will check with my buddy and find out the deal down there. He used to go every weekend so he says he knows where to go. I'll let you know. We will have our wives as well so I guess I better be thinking about that too.
