I know that removing the lid and a rejet would be an improvement, but he's saying taking off the whole airbox itself, leaving just the filter with nothing around it! That's what i meant when I said it ran horribly.

Yeah thats what I want to know. I don't ride in water or mud and where it is it woudn't get to wet anyway. Just jet it up a good bit and it should be good to go.
